From Wire to Drum: Our Complete Production Process
Every cable leaves our facility after passing through a fully controlled, six-stage production process designed to meet IEC and BS international standards.

Stranding
Individual wires are twisted and stranded into multi-wire conductors according to cross-sectional specifications, ensuring uniform current-carrying performance.

Insulation Extrusion
XLPE or PVC insulation compound is applied around each conductor core via continuous extrusion at controlled melt temperature.

Cabling & Laying-Up
Multi-core cables are twisted together with appropriate lay length and flame-retardant fillers to maintain a perfect circular cross-section.

Armoring & Sheathing
Steel wire/tape armoring provides mechanical protection, followed by an extruded PVC outer sheath.

Drum Winding & Dispatch
Finished cable is wound onto wooden or steel drums, length-marked, and inspected against customer specifications before dispatch.

LX Cable operates across two dedicated production bases, giving us the manufacturing depth to handle concurrent large-volume orders without compromising lead time or inspection quality.
Guangzhou Primary Facility
Located in Guangzhou — our main production hub spanning 5,000㎡ houses the core power cable and optical fiber cable lines. This facility runs primary extrusion, blindagem, and QC lab operations.
Secondary Production Base
Our second facility extends total manufacturing capacity to 30,000㎡, accommodating expanded conductor drawing, stranding, and overhead conductor production.
Three-Stage Quality Control Across Every Production Run
Our 10+ electrical and quality engineers operate a fully documented internal quality control system covering three mandatory checkpoints — no batch advances to the next stage without inspection sign-off.
Stage 1 — Incoming Material Inspection (IQC)
- Conductor rod verified for material grade and dimensional tolerance
- Insulation and sheathing compounds tested for applicable IEC standards
- Steel wire and tape checked for tensile strength and coating integrity
Stage 2 — In-Process Inspection
- Conductor resistance and cross-section checked during drawing and stranding
- Insulation thickness measured continuously via spark tester
- Armoring lay pitch and coverage verified before outer sheath application
Stage 3 — Final Product Testing
- Full electrical test: resistance, tensão suportável, insulation resistance
- Dimensional inspection against outer diameter and drum weight
- Third-party factory acceptance testing coordinated on request
Engineering Expertise Behind Every Specification
LX Cable’s dedicated R&D and engineering team works alongside our production and quality teams to handle technical specification confirmation, custom cable design, and application compliance review.
Their day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Reviewing customer project drawings and translating them into producible cable specifications
- Confirming compliance with IEC 60502, Bobagem 6622, ASTM, and regional standards
- Supporting OEM and ODM requests from concept review through prototype sign-off
- Coordinating technical documentation for certification and import compliance processes
Internationally Certified Manufacturing
LX Cable holds four internationally recognized certifications, covering quality management, product safety, environmental compliance, and independent third-party verification.
We hold all four certifications across applicable product lines. Customers requiring additional import compliance documentation — including PVOC, SONCAP, or COC — can coordinate the relevant testing through our technical team.
