Description: The project was developed in 2 Phases, when we received the PO of the 1st Phase, customer required us to deliver within 14 days for 50+ items, which is quite challenging.
The LX team immediately took the task. With the great effort and also due to high efficiency of the system, we finally get all materials ready within 10 days.
Now we have delivered all material for 2 Phases, and according to feedback from commissioning of the 1st Phase, customer is happy with the service.
Transmission Line Upgrade
Project Name: Bamburi Cement Project
Project Scale: Solar farm for Industry
Material Supplied: MV/LV/DC Cables/Cable Connectors/Earthing Materials
Year of Supplied: 2024
Location: Kenya
Description: The biggest challenge of this project was unexpected cost increase on raw material price & ocean freight.
LX signed the contract of the project in April, when copper/aluminum price in global metal market was experiencing historical shock by a 20% increase. This shock had significant impact on cost of the cables & accessories we were going to supply. What made it more challenging is before shipment, ocean freight had almost doubled.
However we took the challenge. Thanks to the great support of the management team and also the good relationship between LX and our reliable material suppliers, we got the best resources to be able to execute this contract without delay.
This case shows our ability to fight against potential risk in cost, which is essential to projects and tenders.
